Band Bio

Redhead Mack Band, hails from Calgary, Alberta Canada and is an original rock band with diverse musical influences. Echoing classic to modern rock legends, Redhead Mack Band is a guitar driven melodic band citing many eclectic influences such as Ben Harper, Satriani, Alter Bridge, and Baroness.  Lead singer Kevin Phillips, who in previous years focused mostly on folk music, picked up and fell in love with the electric guitar! We have just switched up band members, expanding our sonic range... but we still have the same basic sound as on our album, You Know That You Want To, and the recently released single, Don't Tell Me Nothing, but have added the swirling keys of Cam Hough to Phillips' bedrock rhythm guitar, the  blazing guitar of Jared Wiebe, foundational bass of Scott Sorell and the thundering drums of Ian Fraser Love... it's a dynamic, all encompassing presence designed to help you forget all your worries and live free in the moment! 

 Prior to coming together as a rock band, Redhead Mack had released a slew of folk-rock EPs and singles, and the 2013 album Born On A Time Machine.  In 2023, they released their album You Know That You Want To that showcased their rock sound and lyrics that aim to help people find their own voice and look after each other while working together.

Redhead Mack Band has played in many venues across Western Canada and have been featured in a variety of publications including Record World International, Maximum Volume Music and Canadian Beats.
